Literature Text

It was a cold, and rainy day, a blue haired girl ran through the forest. She wore pink boots, and a black and pink dress. She had her signature beanie on her head, and scratches covered her body. She was being chased, two figures in a hovering ship, followed close behind her. She continuously turned her head, to check behind her. As she ran, she was breathing heavily. She could just barely hear her own breaths over the deafening sound of her heart pumping in her ears.

As her legs continued to pound on the ground and push her forward. She felt her body beginning to slowly tire out. When she began to slow down the slightest bit her foot caught on a root of a big tree. She fell, and her legs took most of the impact. After a few failed attempts of standing up, she sat down and tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Why did my friends leave me here like this... I wish they were here." Her eyes were red, and puffy from crying. She saw two figures in the distance and without thinking, she stood up and yelled, "HELP!" As they got closer she realized they were her chasers. She tried to escape, her knee was cut open, her muscles sore, and she was crying. Everything seemed hopeless. Yet, she struggled anyway. "TEAM GALACTIC!," Dawn shouted. A hand wrapped around her arms, and her mouth was tied shut.

"She sure is a screamer...," a female voice said behind her.

"I dunno Mars, I don't think she'd be with me on top," a male voice chimed in, stroking her cheek. Dawn struggled even harder to get out of his grip.

"And feisty too," Mars rolled her eyes. Saturn tied Dawns' hands, and then tied her to a tree. There was still muffled screaming, but Team Galactic didn't seem to care. They had caught her, and their plan was now being set into motion.

"Are you sure this is... her? You know, the one? She doesn't look all that mighty or whatever...," Mars trailed off.

Saturn nodded. "Looks can be deceiving, Mars."

"I guess you're right...," Mars replied, but there was a hint of doubt in her voice.

Saturn walked over to Dawn, and untied her mouth. "L-let me go!," she screamed.

"We would but...," Mars said, a deceiving look shown in her eyes. Saturn just rolled his eyes and picked Dawn up bridal style, and carried her on to the ship.

Dawn still struggled, but her muscles ached and she couldn't do anything about it. She took one last look at the forest near her home town, and shed a tear.

"Lighten up," Mars said as she rolled her eyes.

"Mars, get Jupiter on the Pokègear, I'll take care of the girl," He ordered, and he adjusted his grip as he walked down into the lower levels of their ship.

Mars nodded, and began to dial numbers on a small screen near the giant control panel. Saturn put Dawn in a prison on the ship. He untied her hands and mouth, but chained her to the wall so her arms stuck and they were useless. He then took her pokèballs, and walked out, the door sliding behind him. "Ash...I miss you so much," she sobbed with her head hung down.

A girl with purple hair laid asleep in her bed. She had her arms draped around the blanket which covered most of her and she snored slightly. A little green figure which slightly resembled a crocodile, laid at the foot of her bed. He was curled up like a cat. "Oh the mails here!," a voice from downstairs called.

Another voiced was chimed in. "Is it here? Did it come?!"

"Here Ash, it's for you," the first voice said sweetly.

Ash grabbed it and threw his arms up "FINALLY!"

The girl sat up due to her friend yelling down stairs. "Mmmm, good morning axew!," she looked over at her dinosaur partner. "I wonder what that's about...," she said to herself.

She finally got up, got dressed, and went over to Axew. "I'll race you down stairs buddy," she giggled then took off with the little dinosaur right behind her. As she ran down the stairs her ankle twisted a little and she slipped, causing Axew to fall and land on top of her head. Iris just laughed.

"Woah you okay there?," a tall green haired boy asked. He wore a tuxedo similar to a butler's, and he grinned down at Iris.

"Yea... thanks Cilan." Iris took his outstretched hand and he helped her to her feet. He offered her a smile, one she didn't return.

"Hey Cilan, do you think we'll be able to leave the Pokemon center today?," Ash asked as he pressed his face against the glass window of the pokemon center.

"It's hard to say... the weather still looks bad, worse actually. So unfortunately I don't think we will." Cilan frowned at his deduction and turned to Ash with a small, sympathetic smile.

Iris looked at the two, and started spacing out. She stood there with her arms around Axew.

"Iris?... Iris?... Iris?," Ash gently tapped her and she freaked out a little as he got close to her face.

"Aaah... what was that for, Ash?" She jumped back a step and narrowed her eyes at him.

"You were spacing out," He said simply, and frowned at her.

"What a kid... Oh Ash I forgot to ask, why were you screaming this morning?"

"Oh that... ya see I have this friend-- best friend actually-- back in Sinnoh, and we've been writing letters to each other since I left, but I haven't gotten one from her for a while, so I've been worried about her. But it finally got here this morning."

"Oh, that's cool," she said after a moment of curiousity, but she decided not to pry. She then turned around and headed to the bathroom.

Ash looked to Cilan, but he just shrugged then went back to cooking. Iris came back out of the bathroom, and sat down in the chairs in front of the t.v. Ash decides to take the seat next to her, when a yellow Pokemon runs, and jumps in his lap.

"Hey Pikachu! Good morning buddy," Ash said, a huge grin spreading across his face.

"Pika pika pikachu." Ash laughed, while Iris stared at the pair with a puzzled look on her face.

"We got a letter from Dawn," Ash said and that seemed to perk Pikachu right up. He made a small cooing noise of delight.

"Dawn..?," Iris mumbles, mostly to herself, but for a second she didn't realize she had actually said anything.

Ash looked over at her, and when his attention was focused on her, her face flushed a little. "Yea, my friend from Sinnoh?"

Iris smiled slightly, "So that's her name, maybe we can meet her sometime?"

"Sure! That'd be great!! She'd love to meet you guys!!" Ash's smile spreads across his face again. Iris, though, continued staring into his eyes, she noticed that something was radiating from them. Happiness or perhaps affection. 'I wonder, what kind of friend this Dawn really was to him?,' she thinks to herself, mostly out of curiosity.

"Pancakes anyone?," Cilan then called from the kitchen, interrupting any still swirling thoughts the two had. All four of them rush over to the table and immediately Iris and Ash begin to pile pancakes onto their porcelain plates. Cilan stays back until the two are finished, and begins to prepare a plate from himself. When they're all done, they return to the table and talk about a little bit of everything, although Iris avoids the topic of Dawn.

I know this is kind of short, but each part will consist of Dawn's story, and Ash's too. So you'll be able to see what they're both up to. And also the first few parts I wrote on my phone, so they'll be very bland >.< Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
